Reporting a problem

The most useful report includes:

• what you pasted, if it is not sensitive — a few rows is enough;
• the options you had set, especially the delimiter, index and quoting settings;
• what you expected, and what you got instead;
• the generated call and your pandas version, if the snippet is the problem.

Please do not send real customer data, credentials or anything confidential. A made-up three-row example is almost always enough to reproduce a formatting problem — and since nothing you paste here leaves your browser, we never had it anyway.

What we cannot help with

• Debugging your own pandas, Python or environment setup.
• Converting files for you, or converting data on your behalf.
• Questions about pandas itself — the pandas documentation and its community forums are the right place for those.
• Feature requests for other formats. This site is deliberately one tool about one conversion.

Replies

Messages are read. This is a small independent project, so a reply can take a while, and a bug report will usually be actioned before it is answered. If a fix ships, it will be reflected on this site rather than in your inbox.
